The Polsky Center and UChicago Global are pleased to host the Hong Kong Trade Development Council for a session on expanding your startup or business in Hong Kong.

China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is comprised of the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and the nine China municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province. This fast-growing region has been transformed into a strategic blueprint for innovation and technology, mimicking the likes of Silicon Valley. For Chicago’s high-tech start-ups considering China as their next market for growth and attracting investment, the Greater Bay Area could be full of opportunities using the right resources and partners.

Mr. Ralph Chow, Regional Director, Americas of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will discuss Hong Kong’s important role in the development of the Greater Bay Area as a renowned international financial, transportation, IP and trading hub, and key connector for overseas companies to tap into the GBA ecosystem.
